Harrah's Cherokee Casino is the premier sponsor for MANNA FoodBank's Blue Jean Ball, which will take over the MANNA campus along the Swannanoa River on June 1. This year's 1980's theme, Putting it on the Table, commemorates 30 years of community outreach, collaboration and service. Rev up your 80's attire, tease your hair a little higher, or nail that Van Halen "Jump" with a DJ spinning your favorite 80's hits.
The annual event includes small plate grazing from 25 of Asheville's most loved restaurants and a large selection of beer and wine. Food includes specialties from: Chestnut, Posana, Lexington Avenue Brewery, Cucina 24, Luella's, Rosetta's, the Biltmore Estate, French Broad Chocolate Lounge, Lobster Trap, Cantina Biltmore, Tupelo Honey, Harrah's and many more. A “Not So Silent Auction” will also be available. All proceeds raised at the event go directly to MANNA FoodBank. Then get ready to stay on the dance floor with music from headliner The Broadcast and Flashback Sally.
More than a fundraiser, this party is a collaboration of community. Dozens of businesses donate food, equipment, staff or cash. More than a hundred volunteers plan and work so the event runs smoothly.
