Twiggy got its name from the '60s model who released an album of country songs. Guitarist and songwriter Todd Fletcher, bassist Eddie Schaller, and drummer Patrick Hawley grew up in Champaign-Urbana's bustling indie scene, started out playing in bands like Nick Rudd's Blown. Taking their cues from indie pop bands like the dB's and Let's Active, Twiggy recorded two EPs for Parasol Records.
