It probably doesn't seem like it right now, but according to a survey by a British car dealership named Carcraft, drivers are becoming friendlier and more patient.

Three out of five drivers say they're happy to sit in traffic . . . without moving . . . until things clear up and they can get where they have to go. Only one in four say that they'd bail out and try to find an alternate route.

One in three drivers SMILE at other drivers when they're trying to merge or change lanes . . . and one in five say they give a friendly wave. Women are more likely than men to wave or smile . . . and drivers over age 55 are LEAST likely to smile.

And 30% of drivers say they'll sit and wait to merge until a space develops instead of being aggressive. A really small percentage of drivers say that they honk their horn or switch back-and-forth from lane to lane to try to get past other cars.

Only 3% of drivers say that they lose their temper in traffic and curse. (PR Web)
