Can we just force parents to bubble wrap their kids and get it over with?

The Manhattan Soccer Club runs several soccer leagues in New York, and they just announced they'll be discouraging kids from giving each other HIGH FIVES . . . because they're afraid it'll spread the flu.

We're not exactly sure how many kids are playing soccer in New York in January, and by the time it's warm enough to really play soccer, this whole flu scare will be over. So this is probably just a symbolic move.

Think about it . . . during soccer, the kids will bump into each other, breathe on each other, and get covered in dirt . . . a quick high five is just one of the many, many ways people make contact in a CONTACT SPORT. (Yahoo Sports)
