Luke Bryan proved to be a good samaritan last week when he encountered a neighbor's horse in distress. Luke was boating with a friend on the Harpeth River in Franklin, Tennessee on Thursday (January 10th) when they spotted the horse, 15-year-old Misty, in the water after it had fallen some 15 feet. Luke and his buddy immediately contacted rescuers and began assisting to save Misty.
this isn't the actual rescue picture, but it probably looked something like this:

Misty's owner, Janet McCormick, credited Luke with saving her pet. She told a local Nashville news outlet, "It was a blessing. If they hadn't been going down the river in the boat, I wouldn't have known that she'd fallen in . . . You can't thank anybody enough for taking an interest and being so helpful and genuine. And it's a blessing to have good neighbors."
Several hours and a dozen rescuers later, Misty was pulled to safety and is expected to make a full recovery.
