Roger grew up on a Quarter Horse and Produce Farm in Ashtabula, Ohio (North East Corner) where his childhood classmates would cheer for summer vacation while he would whimper knowing his father would put him to work all summer long. So to avoid a life full of heavy lifting Roger decidied to start his career in Country Radio.
Along with his career, Roger is married a wonderful woman named Ruby, who still loves him through all his country boy "issues". When they married they combined their two families to make a home full of six kids, Zachary, Kleora, Heather, Jeremiah, Brandon and Christian.
When you don't hear Roger on 99.9 Kiss Country you'll find him playing out in the backyard with his kids as they are all very active in sports, so much so his youngest son sleeps with a baseball bat instead of a teddy bear.
GREAT NEWS! But it was rather embarrassing too. My wife Ruby learned today from her surgeon that she will not have to get a mastectomy due to her breast cancer. That was great news!
It became rather embarrassing when her friend who took her to her appointment called me directly after….
"Hey Rog…." Laura said.
"Hey Laura, is everything ok with Ruby?"I asked.
"Oh yeah….she just got some wonderful news, no mastectomy." Laura replied.
"That’s great! But why are you calling to tell me?" I asked again.
"Well Ruby is really super excited and is telling everyone in the lobby here at the doctors that she will get to keep her breasts…but she is using some colorful language to express her joy." Laura whispered.
"How so?" I had to know.
"Well she ran up to an older couple giggling and said, ‘You see these’ while pointing at her chest, ‘These puppies aren't going anywhere!’" Laura smirked. "The best part is the elderly lady replied, ‘Oh they are very nice dear’."
