Roger grew up on a Quarter Horse and Produce Farm in Ashtabula, Ohio (North East Corner) where his childhood classmates would cheer for summer vacation while he would whimper knowing his father would put him to work all summer long. So to avoid a life full of heavy lifting Roger decidied to start his career in Country Radio.
Along with his career, Roger is married a wonderful woman named Ruby, who still loves him through all his country boy "issues". When they married they combined their two families to make a home full of six kids, Zachary, Kleora, Heather, Jeremiah, Brandon and Christian.
When you don't hear Roger on 99.9 Kiss Country you'll find him playing out in the backyard with his kids as they are all very active in sports, so much so his youngest son sleeps with a baseball bat instead of a teddy bear.
Ok, ok....I'll be honest....I need my wife Ruby's help. A few years ago Ruby came to me and said she would like to stay home and raise the kids instead of work. Since I believe the most important job in the world is being a good parent I easily agreed. Plus being a successful stay at home mom is a full time gig which I have a lot of respect for, especially since it won't be until the summer of 2014 when she moves down....which brings me to my latest domestic issues...
I figured how hard could it be to successfully execute washing my clothes? Well apparently it is a rocket science which I have yet to comprehend. I went to the store, bought a big ol' bottle of laundry liquid, headed to the laundry, put the clothes in, dumped in the liquid and plugged in the correct change and hit colors. BOOM!
I was sitting there thinking how smart I was....I had this handled....Ruby isn't the only one who could wash some clothes. That was until a nice little old lady wandered up and said, "You do know that bottle of liquid you used is only softner not detergent right?"
I quickly picked up the bottle and in itty bitty tiny print it said, "Softner Only". Well my clothes came out smelling good but still dirty. Yeah....I really miss my Domestic Goddess, Ruby.
