Roger grew up on a Quarter Horse and Produce Farm in Ashtabula, Ohio (North East Corner) where his childhood classmates would cheer for summer vacation while he would whimper knowing his father would put him to work all summer long. So to avoid a life full of heavy lifting Roger decidied to start his career in Country Radio.
Along with his career, Roger is married a wonderful woman named Ruby, who still loves him through all his country boy "issues". When they married they combined their two families to make a home full of six kids, Zachary, Kleora, Heather, Jeremiah, Brandon and Christian.
When you don't hear Roger on 99.9 Kiss Country you'll find him playing out in the backyard with his kids as they are all very active in sports, so much so his youngest son sleeps with a baseball bat instead of a teddy bear.

When I saw this I just had to share it. Hank Williams Jr. and Merl Haggard teaming up on "I Think I'll Just Stay Here And Drink". It good to see these old boys still out there kickin' in COUNTRY.
I suggest just turning up your speakers and rowdy rebel it out. I love Hank and Merl, listening to them brings back a whole bunch of memories of growing up on my Ohio farm with my rowdy redneck daddy. Thank you Hank, Merl, Johnny, Waylon, Willie, Dolly, Loretta and the rest of you all for the flood of memories that come pouring back everytime I hear your songs.
Their music isn't just what I like...it's who I am.
Tomorrow is the big ol' Black Friday and I know my wife Ruby is going to be dragging me out to the stores to help her accomplish her shopping goals. Now before you snicker...remember I run by the philosophy, "If momma ain't happy then nobody is happy." And I have found out that is true!
Good luck shopping and becareful.
Garth Brooks is starting to simmer again as he is biting at the bit to relaunch his career. Tomorrow night at 9pm CBS will air Garth Brooks: Live From Los Vegas. I can tell you that my entire family will be locked in.
Garth still lights up the stage more than any other country act that I have ever seen. His excitement on the stage still fires me up!
Check out the "sneak peak" of the video by clicking here.
Lady Antebellum is going to be back at the Bi-Lo Center on February 22nd and while they are bouncing between cities they are jamming on the bus. Check out their newest song, "While the Radio Plays". I think every life long country fan can relate to this song for sure! I know my parents always had the country radio station on in the house and barn.
Actress Jennifer Love Hewitt has had a very busy year. She was the star of the Client List until Jenn and her boyfriend, Brian Hallisay, became pregnant. That put the Client List on hold, since no one wants to see a pregnant working girl.
But that did leave time for Hallisay and Hewitt to secretly get married just before Hewitt delivered their new baby girl, Autumn James Hallisay, yesterday (November 26th). Congratulations to the new family and may the good Lord bless your lives together.
Pictures of the new baby haven't been released as of yet.
