Roger grew up on a Quarter Horse and Produce Farm in Ashtabula, Ohio (North East Corner) where his childhood classmates would cheer for summer vacation while he would whimper knowing his father would put him to work all summer long. So to avoid a life full of heavy lifting Roger decidied to start his career in Country Radio.
Along with his career, Roger is married a wonderful woman named Ruby, who still loves him through all his country boy "issues". When they married they combined their two families to make a home full of six kids, Zachary, Kleora, Heather, Jeremiah, Brandon and Christian.
When you don't hear Roger on 99.9 Kiss Country you'll find him playing out in the backyard with his kids as they are all very active in sports, so much so his youngest son sleeps with a baseball bat instead of a teddy bear.
Kellie Pickler shared a photo of herself as a brunette with short straight hair. The first thing I thought she looked like was an international spy....or maybe a Bond Girl? Can you see Kellie staring beside Daniel Craig in the next installment of the exciting life of Britain's favorite secret agent?

When I was in high school I was the light and sound tech for our performance of the Sound of Music. Ironically a girl by the name of "Kerri" Marcy had the lead roll in our performance and she was amazingly talented then (back in 1991.).
So I was pretty excited to see Carrie Underwood in the Sound of Music on NBC last night. But I think my expectations were set a little too high. The musical perfomances were GREAT, as I had hoped they would be with Carrie's singing abilities.
BUT....and I'm not trying to be too critical...you could sense the nervousness on the set among the actors. Many of the scenes with Carrie and the children were smooth but the rest of the acting was a little stiff. However the nerves did settle down as the actors moved onto the third hour.
I would certainly understand being nervous. You are performing LIVE across the nation with 18.5 million viewers and critics. If it had been me performing I would have been so nervous I would have run off the stage to vomit.
So over all I give the entire performance three and a half stars out of four.
For those of you that missed the performance you can watch some of the highlights below.
And for those of you who loved the classic sound of music with Julia Andrews, enjoy!

Check out the new Kiss Country Cruiser Jeep! It's awesome! Yes we are keeping the old one too. But our bud, Eddie Foxx wants to know who is going muddin' with him in it first?
From time to time I'll meet an artist who never has time for anyone...I am happy to report that Luke Bryan is NOT one of them. He recently met with little eight-year-old Tatum Libbesmeier who is battling a rare form of eye cancer. Tatum who is a HUGE Ol' Country fan asked to meet Luke as her wish with the Make A Wish Foundation.
When Luke received the request he made sure to pencil her into his busy schedule to give a little eight year old cancer warrior her dream. It is so cool when someone who has made it so big takes the time to reach out to those who are struggling.

Before the CMT Artist of the Year Awards, Tyler of Florida Georgia Line was relaxing in the back of his tour bus.
So how cool would it have been to be sitting at this spot on the table. Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Deirks Bentley all hanging out together.
Plus have you ever wondered what it was like backstage at these big ol' country performances? Do you imagine huge dressing rooms dripping in luxury with long buffet tables covered in fine dining?
Well.....the boys of Florida Georgia Line give ya a sneak peek at the "luxury" they received at the CMT Award Show last night. Yes...most venues are exactly the same way.
